Azure Sphere Board = Microsoft + Mediatek

Did you know that Microsoft & MediaTek together created an MCU for IoT called the MT3620 (AKA Azure Sphere)?! People building Industrial Products that need high security & easier/faster development should consider this.

1. Tri-core ARM Processor ( 1x Cortex A7 at 500MHz + 2x Cortex M4F at 200MHz)

2. Inbuilt WiFi - Dual band

3. ADC/GPIO: 3x 12-bit ADC inputs (or 3 GPIOs)

4. PWM/GPIO: 9x PWM outputs (or up to 24 GPIOs)

5. 3x ISU interfaces pre-configured for UART, SPI, I2C

6. Easy to Use as Compiling & Debugging is integrated into Visual Studio IDE

The MCU comes in a great starter kit with the carrier board shown in the below image. The carrier board has the following added features

1. Grove expansion connector (I2C)

2. Two MikroE Click board expansion sockets

3. On-board sensors (3-Axis accelerometer, 3-Axis gyro, Temperature, Pressure/Barometric)

4. Interface for optional OLED 128×64 display

5. USB - Supports debug, service & recovery UARTs, and JTAG

6. User push switches and LEDs
