Raspberry Pi has recently launched a storefront for direct to business sales of its in house ARM based Microcontroller called #RP2040. The aim is to address the Chip Shortage issue.
RP2040 is built on TSMC’s 40nm 40LP process which makes an efficient use of scarce silicon. Furthermore the organisation claimes to have "sufficient wafer stock on hand to produce 20 million chips, with more on the way,”
This is the same chip that powers the popular Raspberry Pico Board.
Cost:
Reels of 500 RP2040 chips, with a unit price of $0.80. Reels of 3,400 RP2040 chips, with a unit price of $0.70.
